The Skyworth HT-i is a plug-in hybrid midsize SUV launched by Skyworth Auto. The first model was unveiled in March 2022 and officially went on sale in August of the same year. The vehicle is powered by BYD’s DM-i hybrid technology, featuring a 1.5L engine specifically designed for plug-in hybrids and an EHS hybrid system. It offers an all-electric range of 200 km, a combined range of 1,267 km, and a minimum fuel consumption of 5.3 L/100 km when running on gasoline.

Exterior Design

The SKYWORTH HT-i adopts a compact SUV body design with a polygonal front grille and matrix LED headlight sets. It is equipped with LED daytime running lights and through-type LED taillight assembly. The vehicle is fitted with body-colored door handles and an electric tailgate. Available exterior body colors include Star Shine Gray, Aurora Blue, Crystal White, Obsidian Black, Silver Gray and Glacier Green.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,698 mm in length, 1,908 mm in width, and 1,696 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. The car is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels as standard, with optional 19-inch alloy wheels. Standard exterior configurations include automatic headlights and panoramic sunroof.

Interior Design

The SKYWORTH HT-i features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen. The interior adopts leather upholstery materials, with optional interior color schemes including all-black and black-gray dual tone. Standard configurations include front and side airbags, front and rear parking sensors, rearview camera, and cruise control.
Higher-spec versions are equipped with L2-level intelligent driver-assistance systems, active braking and lane keeping assist. Additional practical configurations include power-adjustable driver seats, automatic climate control and interior ambient lighting. The vehicle adopts a 5-seat layout.

Powertrain

The SKYWORTH HT-i is equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine and front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor plug-in hybrid system, matched with E-CVT transmission. The engine delivers a maximum power of 81 kW and a peak torque of 135 Nm. The motor outputs a maximum power of 130 kW and a peak torque of 300 Nm. The official 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 7.9 seconds, with a top speed of 170 km/h.
The vehicle is equipped with 21.68 kWh and 32.76 kWh ternary lithium battery packs. The NEDC pure electric cruising range includes 115 km and 205 km versions, with a comprehensive cruising range exceeding 1200 km. The vehicle supports DC fast charging and AC slow charging. The vehicle adopts front-wheel-drive layout, front MacPherson independent suspension and rear multi-link independent suspension.
