The Toyota BZ3 adopts Toyota’s exclusive e-TNGA BEV platform design language, featuring a sleek and futuristic front fascia with a fully enclosed hammerhead shark-style grille, paired with sharp matrix LED headlight clusters integrated with adaptive high-low beam and LED daytime running lights, connected by a full-width through-type LED light strip that greatly enhances its visual recognition. The rear is equipped with a streamlined integrated rear spoiler, which not only optimizes aerodynamic efficiency to achieve an excellent drag coefficient of 0.218 Cd but also adds a dynamic touch to its overall mid-size pure electric sedan silhouette with a sleek fastback design. The body is available in various color options, including Solid Black, Pearl White, Metallic Blue, Silver Metallic, and a newly added Dark Cloud Green, catering to diverse personalized preferences. The high-spec PRO version is distinguished by a lidar on the roof and exclusive exterior decorative details, while the high-spec version also features upgraded 18-inch aluminum alloy wheel rims and a more refined front and rear bumper design with aerodynamic decorative elements, further enhancing its modern and sporty sense.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,725 mm in length, 1,835 mm in width, and 1,475 mm in height, with a 2,880 mm wheelbase that ensures ample interior space for passengers, especially the rear legroom which provides comfortable seating for adults. Its mid-size pure electric sedan profile, combined with smooth and sleek body lines and hidden electric door handles, effectively balances energy consumption and driving stability. The rear seats feature a 40/60 split-folding design, which enhances the flexibility of storage and seating, allowing the total storage space to be further expanded, with a standard trunk volume of 439L, easily accommodating luggage and daily items while maintaining comfortable seating for passengers, perfectly meeting family daily use and long trips. The rear bumper is designed with a sporty diffuser and a concave license plate area, paired with through-type LED taillights with dot-matrix lamp beads, adding a touch of athleticism and technology to the overall appearance.
Interior Design
The Toyota BZ3 is equipped with a clear floating full LCD instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch vertical floating central touchscreen (15.6-inch horizontal screen for some high-spec models), integrated with Toyota’s latest intelligent infotainment system powered by advanced chips, which supports multi-language voice recognition, OTA software upgrade, wireless mobile phone projection, navigation and various online applications, delivering a smooth operational experience. Interior color schemes include single-color and two-tone options, with large-area soft wrapping on the touchable areas, paired with delicate stitching craftsmanship and chrome decorative strips, improving both touch and visual texture while being dirt-resistant and easy to clean, suitable for family use. In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 17-inch wheels, 8 SRS airbags, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) system, as well as practical functions like digital key, wireless charging, keyless entry and power windows, focusing on both safety and convenience.
The higher-spec premium versions add more advanced configurations, including a 360-degree camera system, lidar, Momenta 5.0 advanced driving assistance system, power-adjustable front seats with heating function, and a premium audio system. The interior adopts a brand-new double-layer center console layout and an electronic lever shifter instead of the traditional knob-type shifter, freeing up more storage space with a dual cup holder area and a wireless charging panel. The interior is equipped with supportive and ergonomic seats with moderate padding, balancing support and wrapping to reduce fatigue during long commutes. It is also equipped with rear independent air conditioning vents, dual-zone automatic climate control, high-performance acoustic glass and a panoramic sunroof to create a quiet and comfortable cabin environment. The flexible seating layout can accommodate up to five adults, with a spacious trunk and multiple humanized storage compartments in the door panels, central armrest and center console, making it convenient to place personal items for daily use. The high-spec versions also add colorful integrated ambient lights and a rear Type-C interface to enhance practicality and technology sense.
Powertrain
The Toyota BZ3 is a pure electric model available in multiple powertrain versions with rear-mounted single electric motor and rear-wheel drive, powered by high-efficiency motors from Fudi Power. The electric motor offers two power specifications, with maximum power outputs of 135 kW (184 horsepower) and 180 kW (245 horsepower) respectively, and peak torque of 303 Nm for both, paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with an official top speed of 160 km/h, accelerating from 0 to 50 km/h in just over 3 seconds, providing strong and smooth power performance suitable for daily commuting and high-speed driving.
The Toyota BZ3 comes standard with high-reliability lithium iron phosphate blade battery packs from Fudi Power, available in two capacities: 49.92 kWh and 65.28 kWh, corresponding to CLTC-rated pure electric cruising ranges of 517 km and 616 km respectively. In fast-charging mode with a maximum power of 150 kW, it takes approximately 27 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%, effectively reducing charging time and enhancing travel convenience. The vehicle is also equipped with a battery temperature control system and a heat pump air conditioning system to optimize energy consumption in cold environments and reduce range loss, ensuring stable energy supply even in low-temperature conditions. The battery system adopts an integrated installation design with the body, combined with multiple safety monitoring systems to further enhance battery safety.
