Exterior Design
The Wuling ALVEZ , positioned as an entry-level small SUV, adopts the brand’s family-style design language, featuring a compact and dynamic body structure that balances practicality and youthful aesthetics, suitable for daily commuting and family travel. The front fascia is equipped with a large mouth-shaped air intake grille decorated with star details, which is seamlessly connected with the front light group to form a cohesive visual effect, complemented by sharp halogen headlights (LED headlights for higher-spec models) on both sides, ensuring reliable lighting performance for daily travel. The rear is designed with simple and neat taillights, matched with a bilateral two-outlet exhaust and a diffuser with yellow accents, adding a touch of sportiness to the overall simple style. The side body adopts a slanted rear window design, paired with a popular floating roof and stylish wheel arches, showing a certain cross-border style, while the dynamic waistline enhances the vehicle’s sense of movement. The body is available in multiple fashionable color options: Snow Bang White, Silver Lime, and the newly added Ice Berry Purple, catering to the personalized aesthetic needs of young users.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,350 mm in length, 1,750 mm in width, and 1,610 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,550 mm, featuring a compact body size that ensures excellent passability, allowing it to shuttle flexibly in congested urban roads. The vehicle adopts a 5-door 5-seat SUV layout, with ample headroom and legroom in the front and rear rows to meet the riding needs of passengers of different heights. The rear seats support flexible adjustment, and the trunk volume can be expanded from 322 L to 1,077 L after the rear seats are folded, which can easily carry daily necessities and small luggage, fully meeting the diverse needs of daily travel and storage. With a reasonable ground clearance and front-wheel drive layout, combined with front MacPherson independent suspension and rear torsion beam suspension, it can easily adapt to various urban road conditions, ensuring stable and smooth driving.
Interior Design
The Wuling ALVEZ adopts a simple, practical and youthful interior layout, focusing on operability and comfort to meet the core needs of daily commuting and entry-level home use. It is equipped with a clear analog instrument cluster (full electronic display instrument for higher-spec models) that displays vehicle information such as speed and fuel consumption intuitively, and the entry-level models are equipped with an 8-inch floating central touchscreen, while the higher-spec models are fitted with a 10.25-inch screen, some of which are matched with the self-developed Ling OS system, supporting mobile phone connection and other practical functions, enhancing the sense of technology. The interior adopts a black-based color scheme, decorated with purple stitching craftsmanship, and the cockpit adopts a symmetrical layout with a through-type air outlet design that increases the sense of hierarchy. It is matched with fabric seats (leather seats for higher-spec models) and a three-spoke steering wheel (D-shaped steering wheel for some models), which not only improves the interior texture but also has excellent comfort and wear resistance. The cockpit layout is reasonable, with reserved physical buttons for air conditioning control to facilitate blind operation, and multiple storage spaces around to place mobile phones, water bottles and other small items, improving the convenience of use.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 16-inch wheels, driver’s airbag, tire pressure monitoring, electric-adjustable rearview mirrors (with turn signals), central locking, Bluetooth phone/music, and front door glass one-touch down, among other practical and safe functions. The higher-spec models add LED headlights, rear parking sensors, rearview camera, keyless entry/start, brake assist, traction control, body stability system, uphill assist, and mobile phone mapping, further improving the convenience and safety of driving. The whole vehicle is equipped with practical configurations such as four-door glass remote down and rear door child locks, and the interior uses wear-resistant materials that are easy to clean, adapting to long-term daily use scenarios.
Powertrain
The Wuling ALVEZ is uniformly equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated inline-four engine to meet the power needs of daily commuting and home use, complying with the National VI emission standard. The engine, model LAR, adopts aluminum alloy cylinder head and cast iron cylinder block, delivering a maximum power output of 73 kW (99 Ps) and peak torque of 143 Nm, with the peak torque output range between 3400-4400 rpm, ensuring sufficient power response during daily starting and acceleration. It is matched with two transmission options: a 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT continuously variable transmission (simulating 8 gears). The manual transmission brings a more direct driving experience, while the CVT transmission ensures smooth shifting without obvious frustration, catering to different driving preferences of users. The official WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption is as low as 6.43 L/100km, and the higher-spec CVT models have a comprehensive fuel consumption of about 6.9 L/100km, featuring excellent fuel economy. The vehicle is also equipped with a sport driving mode, which can delay the upshifting timing and enhance the dynamic performance, perfectly adapting to various travel scenarios such as urban commuting and short-distance family trips.
