The Tesla Model S embodies Tesla’s signature minimalist and futuristic design language, featuring a streamlined and low-slung front fascia with a subtle front grille area, paired with sharp LED headlight clusters integrated with adaptive high-low beam and dynamic turn signals, as well as a sleek full-width LED taillight strip at the rear that boosts its visual recognition. The rear is fitted with a sleek integrated rear spoiler, which not only optimizes aerodynamic efficiency but also adds a refined sporty flair to its overall silhouette. The body is available in various color options, including Deep Blue Metallic, Red Multi-Coat, and Solid White, catering to diverse personalized tastes.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,979 mm in length, 1,964 mm in width, and 1,445 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm. Its sleek sedan profile, combined with hidden electric door handles and frameless doors, achieves an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.208 Cd, one of the lowest in its class, effectively reducing energy consumption and wind noise during driving. The rear seats feature a 60/40 split-folding design, which enhances the flexibility of storage and seating, allowing for ample space to accommodate luggage and large items while maintaining comfortable seating for passengers.
Interior Design
The Tesla Model S is equipped with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 17-inch horizontal floating central touchscreen, integrated with Tesla’s latest infotainment system, delivering a seamless visual and operational experience. Interior color schemes include Black, Cream, and Black & White, meeting different personalized needs of users. In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 19-inch wheels, a full set of airbags, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and Tesla Autopilot, among other practical and safety-focused functions.
The higher-spec Plaid version adds more advanced configurations, including a tri-motor drive system, enhanced Full Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities, and a 360-degree camera system, as well as practical features such as high-power external power output. The interior is equipped with supportive ventilated and heated front seats, heated rear seats, paired with dual-zone climate control and a HEPA air filtration system to create a comfortable and healthy cabin environment. It also features a 22-speaker, 960-watt premium audio system with active noise cancellation, providing an immersive sound experience. The flexible seating layout can accommodate up to five passengers, with a front trunk and a rear trunk offering ample storage space for daily use and long trips.
Powertrain
The Tesla Model S is available in two powertrain versions: the dual-motor all-wheel drive version and the tri-motor all-wheel drive Plaid version. The dual-motor version is equipped with front and rear electric motors with a combined maximum power output of 497 kW and peak torque of 840 Nm, paired with a single-speed fixed-gear transmission, with an official top speed of 250 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. The Plaid version delivers a maximum power output of 820 kW and peak torque of 1,420 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds and reaching a top speed of 322 km/h.
The Tesla Model S comes standard with a high-voltage liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery pack, offering an EPA-rated range of up to 405 miles (652 km) for the dual-motor version. In fast-charging mode with a maximum power of 250 kW, it takes approximately 15 minutes to charge from 10% to 80%, significantly reducing charging time and enhancing travel convenience for users.
