Exterior Design
The AION LX adopts AION’s family-style design language, featuring a closed front grille that runs through the car logo and connects seamlessly to the split “Arrow Feather” LED headlights, which are equipped with a 4D dynamic welcome effect to enhance the vehicle’s sense of luxury and recognition. The front bumper adopts a segmented design with silver dot-matrix chrome decoration, creating a strong visual impact and a high-performance vibe. The side profile boasts a floating roof paired with hidden electric door handles, which pop up automatically when the key approaches, combining aesthetics with practicality and helping to reduce the drag coefficient to an excellent 0.288Cd for an SUV. The rear is highlighted by a sleek through-type taillight, paired with a sporty rear spoiler integrated with the floating roof, presenting a distinct coupe SUV stance. The body is available in multiple color options, including Starry Black, Pearl White, Deep Sea Blue, and Champagne Gold.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,835 mm in length, 1,935 mm in width, and 1,685 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,920 mm, ensuring ample interior space. The front and rear wheel tracks are 1,650 mm and 1,660 mm respectively, and the tire specifications offer three options: 235/55R19, 245/55R19, and 245/50R20. The rear floor is designed to be flat, with abundant legroom and headroom, while the rear seats can be folded down to expand the storage space, meeting the needs of daily use and long-distance travel.
Interior Design
The AION LX features a luxurious and tech-savvy interior with a wraparound cockpit design that prioritizes the driver’s experience. It is equipped with a world-first nearly 168° fully bonded cold-bent 12.3-inch dual-curved screen, composed of two 12.3-inch screens seamlessly stitched together—one serving as a digital instrument cluster and the other as a central touchscreen, which is slightly tilted towards the driver for easy operation. The interior is wrapped in high-grade materials, including top-tier Nappa leather seats, suede roof lining, and real aluminum IP trim, paired with exquisite stitching craftsmanship for a soft and premium touch. Interior color schemes include Black, Black + Beige, and Black + Brown, catering to diverse personalized preferences. In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 19-inch alloy wheels, front and rear airbags, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and cruise control, among other practical functions. The higher-spec models add Level 3 driver-assistance systems, active braking, a 360-degree camera system, and a 6.6 kW external power output, as well as front seat heating, ventilation, and electric leg rests.
Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a panoramic sunroof that enhances the sense of space, a high-end audio system for an immersive listening experience, a 32-color ambient light, and a 3-type fragrance system, creating a comfortable and luxurious in-car atmosphere. It also retains practical physical buttons for air conditioning control, enabling blind operation during driving, and a lift-up knob shifter that rises when the vehicle is started, adding a sense of ritual.
Powertrain
The AION LX is available in single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive versions. The single-motor version is equipped with a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous electric motor with a maximum power output of 150 kW and peak torque of 350 Nm. The high-performance dual-motor four-wheel drive version delivers a combined maximum power of 300 kW and peak torque of 700 Nm, achieving a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of only 3.9 seconds, reaching supercar-level performance. It is paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with an official top speed of 180 km/h. The AION LX is equipped with different capacity battery packs, including a 93.3 kWh ternary lithium battery and a 144.4 kWh large-capacity battery with sponge silicon anode technology, offering CLTC-rated ranges of up to 600 km and 1008 km respectively. In fast-charging mode, it takes approximately 25 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%, and charging for 8 minutes can supplement 100 km of range.
