Exterior Design
The Baojun Yep adopts the brand’s unique “Square Box+” design language, featuring a tough and compact silhouette with neat horizontal and vertical lines, distinct wheel arches, black bumpers and sill covers, which perfectly combines off-road texture with urban practicality. It is equipped with full LED lighting, including the iconic “Urban Zebra” four-point daytime running lights on the front fascia and unique “Ersuo” shaped taillights at the rear, enhancing its high recognizability. The three-door version is equipped with a side-opening spare wheel cover (known as the “small schoolbag”) on the trunk lid, while the rear also comes with a metal textured roof rack, further highlighting its sporty and personalized style. The body is available in multiple trendy color options, including Sunrise Orange, Morning Green, Cloud Sea White, and other fashionable shades to meet personalized needs.
In terms of dimensions, the three-door version of the vehicle measures 3,381 mm in length, 1,685 mm in width, and 1,721 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,110 mm, featuring a compact body that is flexible for urban commuting. The five-door Yep Plus version has an upgraded size of 3,996 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width, and 1,726 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,560 mm, providing more spacious interior space. The rear seats feature a 50/50 split-folding design (40/60 split-folding for Yep Plus), which not only improves the flexibility of seating and storage but also adapts to various daily and outdoor scenarios such as camping.
Interior Design
The Baojun Yep is equipped with a 10.25-inch dual-screen display, delivering a clear and intuitive visual experience. The interior adopts a simple and refined design, with a large area of leather soft covering, bringing a comfortable touch feeling. Interior color schemes include Solid Black and Elegant White, catering to different personalized preferences of users. In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 16-inch aluminum alloy wheels, front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, cruise control, automatic air conditioning with PM2.5 filter, and other practical functions.
The higher-spec models add more convenient and intelligent configurations, such as a 12.8-inch central touchscreen, LING OS intelligent network connection system, intelligent voice interaction, 360-degree camera system (540° panoramic image for some versions), and Level 2 driver-assistance systems including adaptive cruise assist and lane keeping assist. In addition, some versions are equipped with practical features such as electric adjustable front seats, power windows with one-touch lifting, and mobile phone app remote control functions.
Powertrain
The Baojun Yep is equipped with a rear-mounted single electric motor delivering a maximum power output of 50 kW and peak torque of 140 Nm. It is paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with an official top speed of 100 km/h. The vehicle comes standard with a 28.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering a CLTC-rated range of 303 km. In fast-charging mode, it takes approximately 35 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%. For the Yep Plus version, the maximum power of the electric motor is upgraded to 75 kW with a peak torque of 180 Nm, and the battery capacity ranges from 31.9 kWh to 54 kWh, providing a CLTC-rated range of 301 km to 501 km, with a fast-charging time of 30 to 35 minutes from 30% to 80%.
