Exterior Design
The front fascia of the new Changan Startruck will undergo an upgrade. The current model features a matrix-style grille with horizontal slats, available in two styles: chrome-plated and blacked-out. The headlight clusters are designed with an upward sweep, further enhancing the overall front end’s stylish appearance. Additionally, the front end will feature air intakes with integrated fog lights, adding visual depth to the design.
The side and rear profiles feature clean, practical lines without excessive ornamentation. The cargo bed width has been expanded to 1,520 mm, with options for long and short bed configurations. The single-cab models offer bed lengths of 3.06 meters and 2.8 meters, while the double-cab models offer 2.55 meters and 2.26 meters. The bed side panels are 5 cm thick, and the bed height is 78.5 cm. All long-bed models come standard with a roof rack to facilitate securing cargo and prevent it from colliding with the cab.
Interior Design
The overall interior of the Changan Startruck continues to prioritize simplicity and practicality. The new model is expected to retain a simple three-spoke steering wheel and feature physical air conditioning knobs. It will also be equipped with a 7-inch central control screen supporting functions such as a rearview camera, smartphone mirroring, and rear parking sensors. Additionally, the vehicle will feature a mechanical parking brake and a manual gearshift mechanism.
Powertrain
The Changan Startruck will debut with a GDI direct-injection engine, featuring a 1.5L four-cylinder naturally aspirated unit. It delivers a maximum power output of 85 kW and peak torque of 153 N·m. The powertrain is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, achieving a top speed of 120 km/h and a maximum gradeability of 40%.
