The Kia K5 is a model under the Kia brand. Its history dates back to the first-generation Kia Optima, launched in 2000. The next-generation model, launched in 2011, officially adopted the “K5” name and was introduced to China; it has since undergone several generations of updates.

Exterior Design

The Kia K5 is a mid-size sedan equipped with LED headlight assemblies and LED taillight groups. The vehicle is fitted with 18-inch and 19-inch wheel rims for different versions. Partial versions are equipped with power-folding heated exterior mirrors and shark fin antenna. The available exterior body colors include White, Black, Silver, Blue and Gray.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4980 mm in length, 1860 mm in width, and 1445 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2900 mm. It adopts a 4-door 5-seat layout. The rear seats support folding adjustment to expand rear cargo space.

Interior Design

The Kia K5 is fitted with a full LCD instrument panel and a central control touch screen. The interior is equipped with fabric seats as standard and leather seats for higher configurations, as well as a multi-function steering wheel. Higher-spec versions support front seat electric adjustment, heating and ventilation functions, as well as wireless phone charging function and panoramic sunroof.
In terms of configurations, the standard model comes with front and rear parking sensors, rearview camera, cruise control, front airbags, side airbags and automatic air conditioning. Higher-spec models are equipped with 360-degree panoramic imaging system and active braking system.

Powertrain

The Kia K5 is equipped with a 1.5T and a 2.0T turbocharged four-cylinder engine for different versions. The 1.5T engine is paired with a 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission, delivering a maximum power of 125 kW and a peak torque of 253 Nm. The 2.0T engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, delivering a maximum power of 176 kW and a peak torque of 353 Nm. All versions adopt a front-wheel drive layout.
The vehicle adopts front MacPherson independent suspension and rear multi-link independent suspension. The vehicle has a WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption of 5.95 L per 100 kilometers for 1.5T versions and 6.8 L per 100 kilometers for 2.0T versions.
