The MG Cyberster inherits the brand’s century-old sports car heritage and adopts a high-energy romantic aesthetic design language, featuring a sleek two-door convertible sports car silhouette that perfectly combines classic heritage and futuristic sense. The front fascia boasts an aerodynamic air duct grille evolved from the MGB’s straight waterfall grille, paying tribute to the classic while breaking new ground. It is seamlessly integrated with dynamic three-spoke storm eye LED headlights, which emit sharp and bright light, creating a futuristic and technological visual impact. The front also features a sporty air intake design optimized by aerodynamics, further enhancing its athletic appeal and reducing wind resistance.
A standout feature of the vehicle is its electrically controlled scissor doors, which are operated by a fully automatic intelligent motor with a 61° golden opening angle and stepless adjustment between 30° and 76°, exuding elegance and sportiness. The smooth and low-lying waistline runs through the entire body, paired with sharp-edged alloy wheels and a 0.53 ultra-high wheel height ratio, highlighting the sports car’s low-slung stance and a super-low center of gravity of 440mm. The rear adopts a classic Kammback shape, which is sleek and sharp while reducing tail turbulence, paired with arrow-shaped LED taillights inspired by the Union Jack and racetracks, echoing the front headlights. The vehicle is equipped with an electric soft top convertible that can be opened and closed in 10 seconds at speeds below 50km/h. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,535 mm in length, 1,913 mm in width, and 1,329 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,690 mm. The body is available in fashionable color options including Iris, Andes Gray, Flame Red, Photon Yellow, Modern Beige, and Bullet Silver, catering to diverse aesthetic preferences.
Interior Design
The MG Cyberster features a driver-centric enveloping cockpit design that combines thrilling sports style with advanced technology, creating an immersive driving experience. It is equipped with a triple-screen setup including a 7-inch entertainment screen, a 10.25-inch virtual instrument cluster, and a 7-inch driving information screen, forming an intuitive interactive system that keeps the driver in control of all vehicle information. The cabin adopts high-quality materials including suede and genuine leather, with Y-shaped sports seats that fit the human body curve perfectly, providing a snug and comfortable riding experience even during intense driving. It is also equipped with a BOSE premium sound system with eight high-performance speakers, which customizes the sound tuning to deliver an exciting audio experience.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with LED headlights, keyless entry and start, electric scissors doors, frameless doors, and essential safety features including multiple airbags. It also includes practical configurations such as electric adjustable and heated exterior rearview mirrors, one-touch up/down electric windows, and a 540-degree panoramic camera. The higher-spec version adds Brembo four-piston fixed calipers, a dedicated chassis reinforcement kit, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with the Zebra·Cyber OS intelligent cockpit system, which won the German iF Design Award, adopting the top Unreal Engine to create a 3D immersive interaction experience, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 vehicle-grade chip for super-strong computing power.
Powertrain
The MG Cyberster offers two versatile powertrain options to meet different driving needs: single-motor rear-wheel drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive. The single-motor rear-wheel drive version is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor with a maximum power output of 250 kW (340 horsepower) and peak torque of 475 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. The dual-motor four-wheel drive version adopts a combination of 150 kW front motor and 250 kW rear motor, with a total system power of 400 kW (544 horsepower) and combined torque of 725 Nm, achieving an acceleration time of only 3.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h.
Both versions are paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with a top speed that meets the performance standards of sports cars. The vehicle is equipped with CATL lithium-ion battery packs, with the single-motor version featuring a 77 kWh battery pack and a CLTC-rated range of up to 580 km, while the dual-motor version has a CLTC-rated range of 520 km. It comes standard with 800V high-voltage platform fast charging technology, which can charge from 30% to 80% in approximately 18 minutes. The chassis is tuned by an F1 championship team, adopting a front double-wishbone and rear multi-link suspension system, with ESP that can be 100% turned off, allowing for exciting drift experiences and perfectly balancing handling performance and driving comfort.
