The NIO EC7 adopts an elegant and dynamic design language that inherits the brand’s second-generation family-style aesthetics, combining luxury coupe style with SUV practicality, featuring a sleek Shark Nose X-bar front fascia with a closed grille that highlights its pure electric identity. It is equipped with iconic Double Dash LED daytime running lights paired with intelligent multi-beam LED headlights, which consist of numerous micro-level high-brightness LEDs that can be controlled individually to achieve pixel-level segmented lighting, and stylish light blade LED taillights that echo the front lights, forming a coherent and unified design language. The rear is equipped with a dual-mode active liftable rear spoiler as standard, which not only enhances the overall sporty appeal but also optimizes aerodynamic performance, with two modes of drag reduction and high speed, reducing wind resistance by 4% in drag reduction mode and providing an additional 650N of downforce in high-speed mode. The vehicle comes with stylish alloy wheels, and is equipped with hidden electric door handles, flush side windows and hidden high-mount brake lights to further reduce wind resistance, achieving an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.230Cd, ranking among the world’s lowest drag coefficient SUVs. The body is available in 8 color options, including Dawn Gold, Aurora Orange, Aurora Green, Antarctic Star Blue, Star Gray, Deep Space Gray, Cloud White and Stratosphere Blue, to meet diverse user preferences.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,968 mm in length, 1,974 mm in width, and 1,714 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm. Its well-proportioned mid-size coupe SUV posture and sleek parabolic sloping roof lines create an elegant and dynamic appearance, perfectly balancing sporty aesthetics and practicality. It adopts a 5-door 5-seat layout, with a front-low and rear-high window line and a side skirt line that tightens upward, bringing a strong sense of volume while maintaining agility and speed. The vehicle is equipped with a practical front trunk, and the reasonable storage space design throughout the vehicle easily accommodates daily necessities, family luggage and travel items, meeting the diverse needs of daily commuting and long-distance family trips. The long wheelbase also ensures ample legroom and headroom for front and rear passengers, enhancing riding comfort.
Interior Design
The NIO EC7 features a luxurious and sophisticated wrap-around cockpit design, equipped with a 10.2-inch HDR digital instrument cluster and a 12.8-inch AMOLED central touchscreen, forming an intelligent interactive design with the optional N-Box enhanced entertainment host that delivers a concise and high-tech visual experience. It operates smoothly supported by the NIO self-developed Banyan intelligent system and the Adam NIO supercomputing platform with four NVIDIA Drive Orin X chips, providing powerful computing power. Interior color schemes include 5 themes, including newly added Cocoa Brown, K2 Gray and Coral Red, paired with large-area high-grade materials, renewable rattan wood decorations, theme-colored metallic trim and contrast stitching, creating a luxurious, comfortable and high-texture cockpit atmosphere that caters to personalized preferences. It is also equipped with a 1.94-square-meter panoramic sunroof, and the optional intelligent dimming panoramic sunroof adopts the third-generation flexible electrochromic technology, providing 5 levels of transmittance adjustment for a more comfortable and private riding experience.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with a multi-function steering wheel, integrated sports seats with high-strength lightweight seat frames, dual-zone automatic constant temperature air conditioning, keyless entry and start, front and rear parking sensors, and a rearview camera, among other practical functions. The higher-spec version adds a 360-degree panoramic camera, surrounding light waterfall ambient light, a 23-speaker 7.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos audio system, the newly upgraded Queen’s co-pilot that can achieve one-key zero-gravity posture, as well as high-level intelligent driving assistance systems including full-scene navigation-assisted driving (supported by the Aquila NIO super-sensing system with 33 high-performance sensors), supporting multiple complex driving scenarios and enhancing convenience and safety. It also has 16-way electric adjustable driver’s seat, 18-way electric adjustable co-pilot seat, 10-way electric adjustable left rear seat and 8-way electric adjustable right rear seat, providing a comfortable riding experience for all passengers.
Powertrain
The NIO EC7 is a pure electric flagship coupe SUV based on the NIO NT2 platform, equipped with the second-generation high-efficiency electric drive platform with silicon carbide power modules, adopting a dual-motor four-wheel drive system composed of a front 180kW permanent magnet synchronous motor and a rear 300kW induction asynchronous motor. The comprehensive power output reaches 480 kW and the peak torque is 850 N·m, paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with smooth power output and an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 3.8 seconds, presenting outstanding sporty performance. It is also optionally equipped with Brembo six-piston calipers and 380mm large-size perforated ventilated brake discs, with a 100-0 km/h braking distance of only 33.9 meters.
The vehicle is available with three lithium battery pack options: 75 kWh, 100 kWh and 150 kWh, corresponding to CLTC pure electric ranges of 490 km, 635 km and 940 km respectively. It supports fast charging, slow charging and battery swapping functions, with efficient charging performance that can supplement a certain range in a short time. It is also equipped with air suspension, CDC dynamic damping control system and NIO self-developed intelligent chassis domain controller ICC as standard, which supports FOTA upgrades to continuously optimize driving performance. With the ultra-low drag coefficient and efficient electric drive system, it achieves excellent energy efficiency, perfectly balancing power performance and energy efficiency.
