Exterior Design
The Wuling Hongguang, known as the “National Divine Car”, is positioned as a practical multi-purpose microvan that integrates commercial transportation and family travel, adopting a tough, simple and practical design language exclusive to Wuling’s classic models. It features a robust and neat body structure that prioritizes space utilization and load-carrying performance while incorporating a touch of modernity. The front fascia is equipped with a honeycomb-patterned air intake grille, complemented by simple chrome trim that enhances the overall texture, and the rectangular halogen headlights (LED headlights for higher-spec models) are neatly arranged on both sides, ensuring reliable lighting performance for daily travel and cargo transportation. The rear is fitted with vertical taillights with clear lighting effects, which are clearly visible at night to enhance driving safety, and the rear bumper is designed with anti-collision strips to improve practicality. The side body adopts straight and smooth lines, equipped with manual sliding doors on both sides with a large opening width, greatly improving the convenience of getting on and off and loading goods. The body is available in three practical color options: Polar White, Clear Sky Silver, and Tungsten Steel Gray, which are suitable for long-term commercial use and easy to clean.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,515 mm in length, 1,725 mm in width, and 1,790 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,850 mm, featuring a spacious body size that ensures excellent interior space performance. The vehicle adopts flexible seating layouts, including 5-seat, 6-seat and 7-seat options, with the 7-seat version adopting a 2+2+3 layout to meet the needs of both passenger and cargo transportation. The rear seats support integral folding, and the trunk volume can be expanded to a maximum of 4,300 L after the rear seats are folded, which can easily carry large items such as sofas and refrigerators, fully meeting the diverse needs of daily travel and goods transportation. With a reasonable ground clearance and front-rear drive layout, combined with front MacPherson independent suspension and rear leaf spring non-independent suspension, it can easily adapt to various urban and rural road conditions, ensuring stable driving even when loaded.
Interior Design
The Wuling Hongguang adopts a simple, practical and humanized interior layout, focusing on durability, operability and practicality to meet the dual needs of commercial and family scenarios. It is equipped with a clear analog instrument cluster that displays vehicle information such as speed and fuel consumption intuitively, and the higher-spec models are fitted with an 8-inch central touchscreen that supports Bluetooth connection and mobile phone mapping, enhancing the sense of convenience. The interior adopts a black-based color scheme, matched with wear-resistant plastic materials and fabric seats (faux leather seats for top-spec models), which are not only easy to clean but also can effectively resist wear and tear during long-term use. The cockpit layout is reasonable, with large and clear physical buttons on the center console for easy blind operation during driving, and multiple storage spaces around the driver and passengers to place mobile phones, water bottles and other small items, improving the convenience of use. The three-spoke steering wheel is ergonomically designed, reducing driving fatigue during long-distance travel.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 14-inch wheels, driver’s airbag, ABS+EBD system, tire pressure monitoring, manual-adjustable rearview mirrors, central locking, radio, and front electric windows, among other practical and safe functions. The higher-spec models add roof luggage racks, rear parking sensors, rearview camera, manual air conditioning with rear air outlets, and full electric windows, further improving the convenience and comfort of driving. The whole vehicle is equipped with practical configurations such as automatic door locking when driving, ISOFIX child safety seat interface, and a flat floor design, which not only ensures driving safety but also facilitates passenger movement and cargo stacking, adapting to long-term daily use and commercial scenarios.
Powertrain
The Wuling Hongguang is mainly equipped with a 1.5L naturally aspirated inline-four engine to meet the power needs of daily commuting and commercial cargo transportation, complying with the National VI emission standard. The engine, model LC2, delivers a maximum power output of 81 kW (110 Ps) and peak torque of 145 Nm, with the peak torque output range ensuring sufficient power response during daily starting and acceleration. It is exclusively matched with a 6-speed manual transmission, which brings a direct driving experience and stable power transmission, suitable for the needs of commercial transportation. The official WLTC comprehensive fuel consumption is 6.7 L/100km, and it uses 92# gasoline, featuring excellent fuel economy. The vehicle adopts a front-rear drive layout, which makes power transmission more direct and climbing performance stronger, with an official top speed of 155 km/h, which can perfectly adapt to various travel scenarios such as urban distribution, daily commuting and inter-city trips.
