Exterior Design
The Wuling Zhiguang EV, positioned as an entry-level pure electric microvan, adopts a simple, practical and compact design language exclusive to Wuling’s electric commercial and home models, featuring a boxy “K-Car” style body structure that prioritizes space utilization and passability, suitable for urban distribution, daily commuting and small-scale cargo transportation. The front fascia is equipped with a closed grille exclusive to electric vehicles, with the charging port cleverly hidden in the middle, complemented by simple quadrilateral flat halogen headlights on both sides, and some models are equipped with LED daytime running lights to ensure reliable lighting performance for daily travel. The rear is designed with simple vertical taillights, which are clearly visible at night to enhance driving safety. The side body adopts a straight-line design with a boxy shape, equipped with manual sliding doors on both sides with an opening width of 595mm, greatly improving the convenience of getting on and off and loading goods. The body is available in three practical color options: Polar White, Clear Sky Silver, and Starry Black, which are suitable for long-term commercial use and easy to clean.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 3,685 mm in length, 1,530 mm in width, and 1,750-1,765 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,600 mm, featuring a compact body size that ensures excellent passability, allowing it to shuttle flexibly in congested urban roads and narrow rural lanes. The vehicle adopts a 5-door 4-seat microvan layout, with ample headroom and legroom in the front and rear rows to meet the riding needs of passengers of different heights. The rear seats support integral folding, and the trunk volume can be expanded from 527 L to 1,117 L after the rear seats are folded, which can easily carry daily necessities and cargo, fully meeting the diverse needs of daily travel and goods transportation. With a reasonable ground clearance and rear-wheel drive layout, combined with front MacPherson independent suspension and rear leaf spring non-independent suspension, it can easily adapt to various urban and rural road conditions, ensuring stable driving even when loaded.
Interior Design
The Wuling Zhiguang EV adopts an extremely simple and practical interior layout, focusing on durability, operability and practicality to meet the needs of long-term commercial use and daily commuting. It is equipped with a 4.2-inch LCD instrument cluster (7-inch full LCD instrument cluster for higher-spec models) that displays vehicle information such as speed, power and remaining range intuitively, and there is no independent central control screen, which simplifies the operation logic and focuses on practicality. The interior adopts a black-based color scheme, matched with wear-resistant plastic materials and fabric seats, which are not only easy to clean but also can effectively resist wear and tear during long-term use. The cockpit layout is reasonable, with a two-spoke steering wheel and a knob-type shift mechanism, which saves central control space and is easy to operate. There are multiple open storage compartments and hooks around the cockpit, which can easily place mobile phones, water bottles and other small items, improving the convenience of use.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with 13-inch wheels, driver’s airbag, ABS+EBD system, tire pressure monitoring, manual-adjustable rearview mirrors, central locking, radio with AUX interface, and front electric windows, among other practical and safe functions. The higher-spec models add roof luggage racks, 3.3kW external power output, 12V power interface in the trunk, and the co-pilot seat can be fully folded flat, further improving the convenience and practicality of use. The whole vehicle is equipped with practical configurations such as creep function, automatic door locking when driving, automatic unlocking in case of collision, and ISOFIX child safety seat interface, and the interior uses wear-resistant materials that are easy to clean, adapting to long-term daily use and commercial scenarios.
Powertrain
The Wuling Zhiguang EV is uniformly equipped with a rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous electric motor to meet the power needs of daily commuting and commercial cargo transportation, with a maximum power output of 30 kW and peak torque of 85 Nm, matched with a single-speed electric transmission, with an official top speed of 100 km/h, ensuring sufficient power response during daily starting and acceleration. The vehicle is available with two lithium iron phosphate battery pack options: 17.7 kWh and 30.6 kWh, offering CLTC-rated ranges of 201 km and 305 km respectively. In fast-charging mode, it takes approximately 35 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%, and it also supports AC slow charging, meeting the daily charging needs of users. The vehicle is equipped with a battery preheating system as standard to ensure the stability of battery performance and cruising range in low-temperature environments, with a comprehensive power consumption of 10.1-10.8 kWh per 100 km, featuring excellent economy and suitable for various scenarios such as urban distribution and daily commuting.
