The Wuling Starlight S is the second model based on the Tianyu Architecture D platform and is positioned as a midsize SUV. It is Wuling’s first SUV to offer both all-electric and plug-in hybrid powertrain options. The Starlight S’s exterior design inherits the “Star Wing” aesthetic of the Starlight family, featuring a grille-less front fascia; the distinction between the plug-in hybrid and all-electric versions lies in the presence or absence of an air intake grille at the bottom of the front fascia. The vehicle features a six-ring high-strength steel body structure, with 1500 MPa aerospace-grade hot-formed steel used at 24 key locations. All models come standard with a wraparound six-airbag system.

Exterior Design

The Wuling Starlight S EV adopts a compact pure electric SUV body design with a closed front grille and LED headlight sets. It is equipped with LED daytime running lights and through-type LED taillight assembly. The vehicle is fitted with body-colored door handles. Available exterior body colors include White, Silver, Gray, Blue and Green.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,745 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. The car is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels as standard, with optional 19-inch alloy wheels. Standard exterior configurations include automatic headlights and rear fog lamps.

Interior Design

The Wuling Starlight S EV features a full LCD digital instrument cluster and a 15.4-inch central touchscreen. The interior adopts fabric and leather upholstery materials, with optional interior color schemes including all-black and black-gray dual tone. Standard configurations include dual front airbags, side airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, ABS and electronic brake force distribution system.
Higher-spec versions are equipped with front and rear parking sensors and panoramic camera system. Additional practical configurations include dual-zone automatic climate control, interior ambient lighting and intelligent vehicle interconnection system. The vehicle adopts a 5-seat layout.

Powertrain

The Wuling Starlight S EV is equipped with a front-mounted single permanent magnet synchronous motor, matched with a single-speed electric transmission. The motor delivers a maximum power of 150 kW and a peak torque of 310 Nm. The vehicle adopts a front-wheel-drive layout.
The vehicle is equipped with a 60 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack. The CLTC pure electric cruising range is 510 km. The vehicle supports DC fast charging and AC slow charging, and is equipped with kinetic energy recovery function. The vehicle adopts front MacPherson independent suspension and rear multi-link independent suspension.
