Exterior Design
The Wuling Starlight EV inherits the “Star Wing Aesthetics” design concept, which is consistent with its positioning as a pure electric mid-size sedan tailored for family travel and daily commuting. It features a sleek and low-profile front fascia with a fully closed grille design that highlights its pure electric identity, paired with sharp split-type LED headlights with delicate details, creating a distinctive and highly recognizable outline when lit. Unlike the PHEV version, it cancels the cross-front light strip and adopts a more concise front design. The side of the body adopts a smooth sloping roof design, creating a dynamic and streamlined contour with an ultra-low drag coefficient of 0.228Cd, and is equipped with 18-inch semi-closed star-shaped alloy wheels and semi-hidden door handles, further highlighting the vehicle’s sporty and technological temperament. The rear is equipped with a through-type LED taillight with a unique shape, paired with matte decorative strips on both sides of the rear surround, creating a sporty and layered appearance. The body is available in three color options including Star Curtain Black, Star Shine Gold and Star Glory White, all adopting high-quality coating process, catering to diverse personalized aesthetic needs, and it adopts a 4-door 5-seat sedan structure to meet the needs of family travel.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,835 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,515 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, the same as the PHEV version. Its well-proportioned body balances sportiness and space, making it easy to shuttle through urban streets while ensuring ample interior space. The 5-seat layout provides comfortable riding space for the whole family; for a passenger with a height of 180cm, there is sufficient head and leg space in both the front and rear rows, and the nearly flat rear floor improves the comfort of the middle passenger. The rear seats feature a 40/60 split-folding design, which greatly improves the flexibility of storage; the basic trunk volume is ample enough to accommodate daily necessities and travel luggage, and can be further expanded when the rear seats are folded, easily meeting the needs of daily use and family travel.
Interior Design
The Wuling Starlight EV adopts a simple and comfortable interior design style, which is consistent with its positioning of a cost-effective and practical pure electric sedan. It is equipped with an 8.8-inch floating LCD instrument cluster and a floating central touchscreen—10.1-inch for the entry-level model and 15.6-inch for the higher-spec models, forming an intelligent human-computer interaction interface. The LCD instrument clearly displays key vehicle information such as vehicle speed, power and cruising range, while the central touchscreen has a clear display and smooth operation, integrating multimedia entertainment, vehicle settings, navigation and other rich functions. It is integrated with the Ling OS intelligent car-machine system, supporting 4G network, OTA upgrade, mobile phone connection, mobile App remote control and intelligent voice interaction that can recognize 8 dialects and 12 heavy accents, bringing a convenient operational experience. The interior adopts a wrapped layout with soft leather materials and piano paint panels, paired with appropriate decorative strips to enhance the overall texture. The seats are made of comfortable imitation leather materials, some with breathable perforated design, with good wrapping and support, ensuring riding comfort for long-distance travel. The interior is designed with multiple storage spaces and is equipped with a column shifter, making the center console area more neat and practical.
In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with automatic LED headlights, electric heating exterior rearview mirrors, rear parking sensors, reverse camera, ABS anti-lock braking system, EBD electronic brake force distribution system, front dual airbags, automatic air conditioning, rear air outlets and electric power steering system, among other practical and safe functions. The higher-spec models add 360-degree panoramic image, 180-degree transparent chassis, keyless entry, keyless start, electronic parking brake (EPB), automatic parking (Autohold), front side airbags, front and rear side air curtains, 50W wireless charging panel and Level 2 intelligent driving assistance system with full-speed domain driving assistance and lane change control, further enhancing the convenience and safety of daily use. All models are equipped with battery heating and intelligent heat preservation functions, which are more user-friendly for daily use.
Powertrain
The Wuling Starlight EV is equipped with a front-mounted single permanent magnet synchronous electric motor, adopting a front-wheel drive form. It is available in two power versions: the entry-level version has a maximum power output of 100 kW and peak torque of 200 Nm, while the higher-spec version has a maximum power output of 150 kW and peak torque of 310 Nm. It is paired with a single-speed electric transmission, with an official top speed of 160 km/h, which is fully suitable for daily urban commuting and long-distance travel. The vehicle is equipped with lithium iron phosphate battery packs in different capacities: 41.9 kWh and 54.5 kWh, offering CLTC-rated pure electric ranges of 410 km and 510 km respectively. It supports both AC slow charging and DC fast charging; in fast-charging mode, it takes approximately 15 minutes for the entry-level version and 20 minutes for the higher-spec version to charge from 30% to 80%, while in slow-charging mode, it takes about 6 to 8 hours to fully charge, ensuring convenient daily use and long-distance travel. The vehicle achieves excellent energy efficiency with a minimum 100km power consumption of 11.5 kWh.
