The Xpeng P5 adopts a sleek and understated “Tech Minimalism” design language that inherits the brand’s core family genes, achieving an excellent balance between aerodynamic efficiency, visual simplicity and practicality. Its front fascia features a smooth closed-off grille paired with a full-width segmented LED daytime running light strip, which enhances the vehicle’s visual width and recognition. The front end integrates hidden millimeter-wave radar and an AGS active air intake grille, which not only optimizes aerodynamic performance but also ensures the normal operation of the vehicle’s thermal management and intelligent driving systems. The rear is designed with a full-width through-type taillight that echoes the front lighting, paired with a compact spoiler and a simple rear surround, highlighting a clean and dynamic appearance while improving driving stability.
In terms of body colors, the Xpeng P5 offers a variety of distinctive options, including classic colors such as Nebula White, Obsidian Black, and Crescent Silver, as well as popular bright colors like Starry Green and New Moon Silver, catering to both youthful and mature aesthetic preferences. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,860 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, and 1,520 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,780 mm, belonging to a compact pure electric sedan. It provides multiple wheel options, including 18-inch comfort-oriented wheels and 19-inch sporty wheels matched with Michelin Primacy tires, combined with hidden door handles and a sleek fastback design, effectively reducing the drag coefficient to as low as 0.218Cd and perfectly adapting to daily urban commuting.
Interior Design
The Xpeng P5 features a driver-oriented “Star Orbit Wrapped” cockpit design, creating a comfortable, intelligent and user-friendly driving experience with high-quality materials and advanced configurations. It is equipped with a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch vertical floating central touchscreen, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8155P chip and Xmart OS 3.6.0, delivering a smooth and responsive visual and interactive experience. The interior is wrapped in high-quality soft materials and delicate stitching, paired with 256-color ambient lighting and a panoramic sunroof, highlighting both comfort and a sense of technology. It also comes with multi-layer sound-insulating glass and intelligent noise reduction, ensuring a quiet and comfortable cabin environment.
Interior color schemes include Elegant Gray, Deep Space Gray and Airy Gray, catering to different personalized preferences. In terms of features, the standard model comes equipped with practical and comfortable configurations such as a three-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, ergonomically designed leather seats, front seat heating and ventilation (for high-spec versions), a high-quality audio system, and dual 50W wireless fast charging pads. It also supports multiple intelligent interaction functions, including full-scene voice interaction with 20-second continuous dialogue, XPILOT intelligent driving assistance, and VPA parking memory function, realizing seamless connection between people and vehicles. The vehicle is also equipped with a practical front trunk and a large rear trunk, which can be expanded by folding the rear seats, enhancing daily use convenience.
Powertrain
The Xpeng P5 is a pure electric vehicle equipped with a front-mounted single permanent magnet/synchronous electric motor and a front-wheel drive system, paired with a single-speed electric transmission. The electric motor delivers a maximum power output of 155 kW and a peak torque of 310 Nm, ensuring smooth and responsive performance during daily driving. It has an official 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 7.5 seconds and an official top speed of 170 km/h, perfectly meeting the needs of urban commuting and occasional leisure travel.
The vehicle is equipped with different capacity battery packs according to the version, including a 55.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack and a 66.2 kWh ternary lithium battery pack, offering CLTC-rated ranges of 460 km, 500 km, 550 km and 600 km to meet different travel needs. In fast-charging mode, it can be charged from 30% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes, effectively reducing charging time and improving travel efficiency. Additionally, it is equipped with a front MacPherson independent suspension and a rear torsion beam non-independent suspension, which is tuned for comfort, ensuring excellent driving stability and ride comfort in various urban road conditions. It also supports an X-Pedal one-pedal driving mode and an intelligent thermal management system, further enhancing the convenience and energy efficiency of daily use.
