The Xpeng P5 is Xpeng Motors’ third mass-produced model and is positioned as a pure electric vehicle. Officially launched on April 12, 2021, it is equipped with 32 sensors and dual LiDAR units, features the XPILOT 3.5 intelligent driving assistance system with support for Urban NGP, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8155P chip and the Xmart OS 3.0 infotainment system.

Exterior Design

The Xpeng P5 adopts a compact pure electric sedan body design with a closed front grille and LED headlight sets. It is equipped with active variable air intake grille, LED daytime running lights and through-type LED taillight assembly. The vehicle is fitted with hidden door handles. Available exterior body colors include White, Black, Gray, Blue, Green and Purple.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,808 mm in length, 1,840 mm in width, and 1,520 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,768 mm. The car is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels as standard, with optional 18-inch alloy wheels. Standard exterior configurations include automatic headlights and rear fog lamps.

Interior Design

The Xpeng P5 features a full LCD digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch central touchscreen. The interior adopts fabric and leather upholstery materials, with optional interior color schemes including all-black and dual-tone color matching. Standard configurations include dual front airbags, side airbags, curtain airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, ABS and electronic brake force distribution system.
Higher-spec versions are equipped with front and rear parking sensors and 360-degree panoramic camera system. Additional practical configurations include automatic climate control, interior ambient lighting and intelligent vehicle interconnection system. The vehicle adopts a 4-door 5-seat layout. The standard trunk volume is 450 liters.

Powertrain

The Xpeng P5 is equipped with a front-mounted single permanent magnet synchronous motor, matched with a single-speed electric transmission. The motor delivers a maximum power of 155 kW and a peak torque of 310 Nm. The vehicle adopts a front-wheel-drive layout with a maximum vehicle speed of 170 km/h.
The vehicle is equipped with 55.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery packs. The CLTC pure electric cruising range is 500 km. The vehicle supports DC fast charging and AC slow charging, and is equipped with kinetic energy recovery and external discharge functions. The vehicle adopts front MacPherson independent suspension and rear torsion beam non-independent suspension.
